First Year Cleveland is a county-wide community action group, and we appreciate gifts to support the events we host throughout the year. Donations of meeting space, food, talent (e.g., photography and graphic design) and advertising support is welcome.
Learn how to help your organization’s board members, leadership team and employees recognize how they each view the world through a different lens. First Year Cleveland's Action Team 1 is developing racial bias training which organizations and individuals can use to help recognize and modify bias in their behavior and ideas.
Ask your organization’s human resources team to offer First Year Cleveland’s Safe Sleep Heroes training to all employees, along with health and wellness incentives to support it. This short training, led by FYC Action Team 10, explains the why and how behind the ABCDs of Safe Sleep: Alone, on their Back, in an empty Crib and Don’t smoke.
Our community-driven council of more than 400 people from over 100 organizations meets quarterly to inform and spread the work of First Year Cleveland. We invite anyone interested in the health of Cuyahoga County to become part of this valuable community action council.
