More Information
If you’re in need of healing support for any number of reasons, there are groups available to help you. Each of the following groups are First Year Cleveland partners, and we applaud and support the vital role they play in our community.
In June 2020, First Year Cleveland’s Action Team 2, the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Committee (PAIL) launched Our Wellness Network (OWN).
Comprised of Black therapists, parents and lay leaders, OWN provides mental health support to Black families and individuals who are pregnant, new parents, or parents who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or an infant death. To learn more about OWN, click here.
If you or someone you know could benefit from Our Wellness Network, call OWN 24/7 at 888-505-7245.
Village of Healing is a community development organization focused on decreasing racial disparities by concentrating on providing an environment of healing in the community. They provide a Professional Black Women’s support group which meets twice per month via Zoom. They also provide a mother-to-mother program which provides support and mentorship for and by Black pregnant and parenting women. To learn more, please visit the Village of Healing website.
